Sandbaggers Shop Terms of Purchase (event entry terms below)


Shipping And Handling - Purchased goods will be shipped as soon as is reasonable possible following payment. Shipping costs are listed individually under each product. international purchases should enquire about shipping costs as those listed are for UK delivery only.
Delivery Schedule We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in 3 business days . This does not apply to International orders.
Back Orders. We do not list any products which we do not hold in stock. If through some oversight on our part your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges No additional charges are made over and above that listed.

Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. If you are not happy with any product please return it unused and we'll replace it with another or refund your payment. This does not apply to the race deposit which are non-refundable.

Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive. We will always accept returns if you are unhappy with the product. This does not extend to changing garment sizes if the error was made by the purchaser.

SCOTTISH ULTRA BOOKING CONDITIONS

A deposit payment of £250 per person must be paid either by credit/debit card through our online booking facility or by cheque payable to Sandbaggers Ltd and must accompany the application. Your participation is not confirmed until the deposit is paid and a confirmation of booking has been issued by us. The full balance must then be paid in accordance with the dates specified in your competitors briefing document. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your participation and the loss of your deposit.

Confirmation

A contract shall exist between you and the organisers, once an application form and deposit is received by us and confirmation of your place has been despatched by us. This is usually within two weeks of receiving your application form and deposit.

Cancellation by you

Should you have to cancel for unavoidable reasons, the following restrictions will apply:

• Your deposit of £250 is non-refundable.

Changes By Us

In the interests of safety, and dependent on local conditions it may sometimes be necessary for us to make alterations to the event as detailed on the race website, marketing material and/or competitors briefing pack, before or after your booking has been confirmed. We reserve the right to do so at our absolute discretion. If it is necessary for us to make a significant change to the event we will inform you as soon as possible.

Medical and Safety Information

Obviously your safety is of paramount importance during the event. While all steps will be taken to ensure this, it must be stress that ultimately you are responsible for your own well-being and safety during the event. Medical cover will be provided with a team of experienced medics present at all times. Throughout the event support vehicles will be available should you wish to withdraw.

In the interests of your own safety you will be required to provide a recent letter from your doctor stating that you are physically fit to take part in this kind of arduous event. The letter should be dated within 1 month of the start date of the trip and must include a valid ECG trace.

Cancellation by us

In the extremely unlikely event the race has to be cancelled for circumstances outside of the organisers control, a full refund will be given.

 

Hazardous activities

Participation in any outdoor activity can be potentially hazardous. Participants must make their own judgements on their own abilities and participate entirely at their own risk.

Insurance

Due to the adventurous nature of this event, the organisers cannot guarantee your safety. All possible precautions to minimise the dangers will be taken, but the event remains one that you undertake at your own risk. Prior to starting the event, you will be required to complete and sign a disclaimer form which acknowledges your own responsibilities in entering for the race. Provision for personal insurance cover should be made by you.

Dietary requirements

With regards to the Pre and Post race parties, please advise us of any specific dietary requirements at the time of booking. We aim to exceed your expectations and will endeavour to cater for any specific requirements. However, we cannot guarantee that we will cover all requirements if we are not notified in advance.

Transfers

All transfers to and from the ferry terminal/airport on Islay required for participation in British Ultra are included in the cost price of participation in the event. As is the Ferry cost during the race between the Islands of Islay and Jura.

Vehicle support

Full vehicle support is included in the cost price of participation in the event. This does not include taxis or other forms of transport outside the scope of participation in British Ultra

Visa

International competitors should note that you are responsible for organising all relevant visas for the trip.

Flights

The organisers are unable to book flights or ferry crossings to or from the start at Islay and take no responsibility for any delays, cancellations, loss of property or any other event pertaining to participants travel to or from participation in the event.

A contract shall exist between you and Sandbaggers Limited, once an application form and deposit is received by us and confirmation of your place has been despatched by us. This is usually within two weeks of receiving your application form and deposit.

Cancellation by you:

• Refunding of money will be dependent on date. We will refund as much money as possible but the amount may be reduced if payments have been made to our support team in Mongolia.

• Entries can be transferred to a nominated replacement competitor.

It is essential that you have adequate travel insurance for all 'adventurous activities' you wish to partake in during your time in Mongolia. If you are unsure about your level of cover please check with your travel insurance provider. Sandbaggers Limited may request proof of holiday insurance cover prior to or during your holiday. If you cannot provide proof of adequate cover, we reserve the right to withdraw the offer of participation in Gobi Challenge. Due to the adventurous nature of this event, Sandbaggers cannot guarantee your safety.
