A deposit payment of £250 per person must be paid either by credit/debit card through our online booking facility or by cheque payable to Sandbaggers Ltd and must accompany the application. Your participation is not confirmed until the deposit is paid and a confirmation of booking has been issued by us. The full balance must then be paid in accordance with the dates specified in your competitors briefing document. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your participation and the loss of your deposit. ConfirmationA contract shall exist between you and the organisers, once an application form and deposit is received by us and confirmation of your place has been despatched by us. This is usually within two weeks of receiving your application form and deposit. Cancellation by youShould you have to cancel for unavoidable reasons, the following restrictions will apply: • Your deposit of £250 is non-refundable. Changes By Us In the interests of safety, and dependent on local conditions it may sometimes be necessary for us to make alterations to the event as detailed on the race website, marketing material and/or competitors briefing pack, before or after your booking has been confirmed. We reserve the right to do so at our absolute discretion. If it is necessary for us to make a significant change to the event we will inform you as soon as possible. Medical and Safety Information Obviously your safety is of paramount importance during the event. While all steps will be taken to ensure this, it must be stress that ultimately you are responsible for your own well-being and safety during the event. Medical cover will be provided with a team of experienced medics present at all times. Throughout the event support vehicles will be available should you wish to withdraw. In the interests of your own safety you will be required to provide a recent letter from your doctor stating that you are physically fit to take part in this kind of arduous event. The letter should be dated within 1 month of the start date of the trip and must include a valid ECG trace. Cancellation by usIn the extremely unlikely event the race has to be cancelled for circumstances outside of the organisers control, a full refund will be given. Hazardous activitiesParticipation in any outdoor activity can be potentially hazardous. Participants must make their own judgements on their own abilities and participate entirely at their own risk. InsuranceDue to the adventurous nature of this event, the organisers cannot guarantee your safety. All possible precautions to minimise the dangers will be taken, but the event remains one that you undertake at your own risk. Prior to starting the event, you will be required to complete and sign a disclaimer form which acknowledges your own responsibilities in entering for the race. Provision for personal insurance cover should be made by you. Dietary requirementsWith regards to the Pre and Post race parties, please advise us of any specific dietary requirements at the time of booking. We aim to exceed your expectations and will endeavour to cater for any specific requirements. However, we cannot guarantee that we will cover all requirements if we are not notified in advance. TransfersAll transfers to and from the ferry terminal/airport on Islay required for participation in British Ultra are included in the cost price of participation in the event. As is the Ferry cost during the race between the Islands of Islay and Jura. Vehicle supportFull vehicle support is included in the cost price of participation in the event. This does not include taxis or other forms of transport outside the scope of participation in British Ultra VisaInternational competitors should note that you are responsible for organising all relevant visas for the trip. FlightsThe organisers are unable to book flights or ferry crossings to or from the start at Islay and take no responsibility for any delays, cancellations, loss of property or any other event pertaining to participants travel to or from participation in the event. ....................................................
