Preparing for an expedition into the desert?
Needing to develop or brush up on survival and wilderness skills to allow you to operate with confidence in an extreme environment?
Then join our team of expedition organsers, former Special Forces survival instructors and wilderness medics for a course in desert survival training.
The course will include:
Hill craft: Safety on steep ground, river crossings
Food: Nutritional needs, seasonal wild foraging, trapping game, cooking without utensils
Water: Finding and collecting clean water in different environments, water purification
Camp craft: Building shelters, Cutting tools, Useful knots, Fire lighting techniques
Loss procedure: Signalling and equipment, what to do when lost, types of searches
Psychology of survival
